HEMP VS. “MARIJUANA”

Hemp plants contain low levels of THC (less than 0.3%), but contain high levels of the non-intoxicating Cannabidiol (CBD). Hemp products are federally legal and TSA friendly. Hemp is one of the most versatile plants in the world, ranging from textiles to biofuels. Plus, the flowers can be used to extract CBD which is a key ingredient in Mendi's all-natural recovery products.

The term “marijuana” is slowly going away as it is only
a cultural reference. Simply referring to this as “cannabis” is becoming increasingly more accepted. The past 50 years saw increased breeding for higher THC yields as a result of prohibition and most recently, the marketing pressure to sell the most intoxicating effect for the cheapest price. CBD derived from these strains, even if isolated to have less than 0.3% THC, is not covered in the Farm Bill and is only legally available in states with legal access programs.
