Happy Women’s Month and International Women’s Day. This is our favorite month of the year and we have a lot to talk about!
We are celebrating the steps we’ve taken forward as a society to advance women, like the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson, the historic equal pay settlement with the USWNT in a $24M lawsuit and this is the first year in history the NCAA March Madness tournament will be branded on both the mens and women's sides– finally!
We’re also watching all of the brave women of Ukraine defend their country. And we know that women and children are disproportionately affected the most by war.
Research shows that when women are protected and uplifted, everyone around them benefits. This is a data point worth celebrating. In saying this, we also know that our country has used women as safety nets. We have never looked at investing in women as an economic gain, but rather as a cost.
The reality is, we are still bombarded with feel-good ads from larger corporations and advertising agencies in the month of March talking about celebrating women and the national steps taken for the advancement of women. While those feel-good ads are entertaining and provide a spark of hope and inspiration for the next generation of girls (which we all know will grow up to be badasses who change the world), many companies, politicians and leaders are not putting their money where their mouth is–outside of the month of March!
When people choose money and power over taking care of women, no one actually advances.

To all the women out there feeling tired, overwhelmed and stressed, we know you, we see you and we're here to help you feel better. It's no secret that when women are thriving, everyone around them benefits. Mendi exists to make the world a better place and that means taking care of you, one woman at a time. We create products designed for your busy days and your sleepless nights. For moments when the demands of life might feel like a little too much. You’re the silent heroes who keep the world intact and whom without, the world would cease to exist. Most of you don't get the recognition or appreciation you deserve. But we know who you are, all that you do, and all that you bring to our world. Thank you. We know you deserve to sleep a little better, to feel a little less stressed and to have a little more energy so you can tackle what's ahead. Because when you're feeling your best, everyone wins.
