Oregon Roots:
We are proud Oregonians and center the state’s ethos of sustainability and rugged wilderness in everything we do. We love to partner with local companies like Jacobson Bath Salt Co. to offer locally-sourced products, and aim to positively impact our community with our give back programs, such as our current partnership with Ecotrust and Miir. Our Why
Mendi was founded with a very simple idea: recovery can, and should, be made better and more accessible to all. We have been singularly focused on that goal for the past three years, and are both proud of the progress we’ve made, and relentless ambition in our pursuit of using nature’s best ingredients to help athletes of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and mindsets reduce pain and inflammation, balance their mood (stress and anxiousness), and sleep better so they can be the best version of themselves.
Mendi is built for the athlete in everyone because we know a thing or two about recovery. Mendi CEO and co-founder, Rachael Rapinoe, is an NCAA champion, retired pro soccer player, and has a BS in Life Sciences and MS in Health & Exercise. She was plagued by injuries throughout her career, and knows the danger of over-prescribed opiates and other harmful medications. With a long family history of drug and alcohol addiction, Rachael knew there was a better, more natural way to stay on top of your game and vowed to create healthier alternatives for her community and beyond.
