Hemp vs. Marijuana

There can be some confusion and misconceptions around hemp and marijuana. Here are the key similarities and differences that you need to know about.

Hemp and Marijuana are two different species of the same root same plant (cannabis), and are bred for different uses. Science doesn't differentiate between hemp and marijuana but the law does, so it's important to understand the difference and to buy from a trusted source.

HEMP

Hemp plants contain low levels of THC (less than 0.3%), but contain high levels of the non-intoxicating Cannabidiol (CBD). Hemp products are federally legal and TSA friendly. Hemp is one of the most versatile plants in the world, ranging from textiles to biofuels. Plus, the flowers can be used to extract CBD which is a key ingredient in all of Mendi's all-natural recovery products.

LESS THAN 0.3% THC

Hemp products won't get you high and you can't overuse or overdose.

FEDERALLY LEGAL + TSA FRIENDLY

Hemp products can be shipped throughout the U.S. and kept in carry-on luggage when flying domestically.

BIG BENEFITS

The CBD used in Mendi's all-natural products is all derived from USA-made hemp and formulated with other botanicals to help fight fatigue, promote better sleep, reduce stress and anxiousness, and manage pain and inflammation.

MARIJUANA

The term “marijuana” is slowly going away as it is only a cultural reference and is rooted in racism. Simply referring to this as “cannabis” is becoming increasingly more accepted. The past 50 years saw increased breeding for higher THC yields as a result of prohibition and most recently, the marketing pressure to sell the most intoxicating effect for the cheapest price.

MORE THAN 0.3% THC

“Marijuana” is bred for high amounts of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). While any amount of THC beyond 0.3% is technically cannabis, the avg joint could range anywhere from 5% - 55% THC.

FEDERALLY ILLEGAL

Hemp products can be shipped throughout the U.S. and kept in carry-on luggage.

INTOXICATING EFFECT

THC is the compound that causes a "high" or intoxicating effect often associated with cannabis. Mendi does not create or distribute any products of this type.

If you are looking for an all-natural, non-addictive, legal solution to better sleep, pain, stress, or fatigue, hemp-based CBD products are a great option. There is mounting scientific evidence and hundreds of thousands of anecdotal accounts of CBD helping people of all ages and activity levels to feel their best.
