In this Article We discuss:
RESPECTING TRADITION
Hemp dates back all the way to 8000 BCE in Asia, and has been widely used as a textile fiber, an essential crop, and a medicinal powerhouse across cultures. Used as a way to combat inflammation and relieve a host of common health symptoms by the ancient Egyptians, and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to cure everything from anxiety to insomnia, hemp has long been revered as an all-natural and potent way to promote health.
REGULATION
Hemp has been a staple in North American since the early 1600s. Fun fact: The Declaration of Independence was drafted on hemp paper. Hemp remained a legal and an essential crop and textile in our country all the way up until the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act, which severely restricted the production of hemp. It wasn’t until President Obama signed the Farm Bill back in 2014 that some farmers were again legally allowed to grow hemp. No concrete hemp-specific laws were passed until the 2018 Farm Bill which legalized hemp in the U.S., and (among many other great benefits) allows us to fulfill our mission of expanding awareness and use of CBD in the sports realm to improve recovery outcomes for professional athletes and weekend warriors alike.
MODERN DAY FORMULATIONS
We’re not inventing the wheel here, and we’re not trying to. We aim to harness the latest technological innovations alongside the ancient wisdom about hemp’s medicinal properties to promote better recovery. Our formulations have been specifically designed by athletes, for the athlete in all of us, with the everyday problems of mood (stress and anxiousness) management, pain reduction, and better sleep at the forefront of everything we do.
