CBD Oil Massage Oil Product Benefits
One of the most common questions we hear when talking to someone about Mendi for the first time is, “I tried a different CBD product once and I didn’t feel anything, why?”
It’s a fair question, and one that resonates with so many one-and-done CBD users. And while CBD has a long list of benefits and believers, its rise in popularity has also created some confusion, misinformation and mistrust on what to expect from this all-natural plant compound.
We’re here to set the record straight and share 5 helpful tips to get the most out of your experience when beginning a CBD routine.
There are hundreds of companies selling CBD oils and products these days. It’s very accessible, but it’s also unregulated and there are some bad actors in the industry looking to make a quick dollar. It’s so critical that consumers do their research when considering any product they are putting on or in their body. Look for brands with transparent third party lab tests, find out where they’re sourcing their hemp oil (there are certain regions of the country that grow better hemp, similar to wine!), read customer reviews, and consider what all-natural ingredients beyond CBD are in the product. All of these factors will play a role in the purity and efficacy of the products, resulting in minimal or optimal benefits from the CBD products.
You can also find Mendi’s ingredient list, 3rd party testing results, and customer reviews on each of our product pages. You can also read our approach to sourcing.
For most people, CBD works best when used daily over time. It needs to build up in your endocannabinoid system in order to be effective. That means you shouldn’t take a gummy one day and then wait a week to take another. Pick a product for your desired benefit (i.e. pain, stress or sleep) and use it consistently for a month. Keep a log of what you’ve taken, when, and the effect you feel. As you continue to feed the receptors in your endocannabinoid system, it will allow your body to remain in balance a lot easier and be able to resist external stressors that are constantly poking at us.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to CBD. Like other wellness products, everyone’s tolerance will differ depending on their body size and weight. We recommend starting your CBD oil routine with a low and slow approach of 25mg of CBD per dose, every 4-6 hours. Do this for the first few days and then begin to experiment with a higher or lower CBD dose, as needed. Some customers find that 12.5mg of CBD is enough for them to feel the benefits. There is also evidence that up to a 1 mg of CBD per 1 lb of body weight may be an effective daily routine. Again, keep in mind that consistency is key in getting the most out of CBD products for the best results.

Common forms of products include CBD oil tinctures, CBD topicals, and CBD ingestibles. If you’ve been trying one delivery system with no luck, it’s possible that a different application of CBD would work better for you. One factor to consider is bioavailability, which essentially refers to how much of the CBD oil actually gets into your bloodstream. For example, if you eat CBD gummies, they have to go through your liver and stomach before you can absorb them, which degrades some of the CBD oil in the product, so the amount that ends up getting into your system may be relatively low compared to the amount per dose. On the other hand, if you take a CBD oil tincture sublingually — which means under the tongue — you’re absorbing it directly into your bloodstream through your sublingual glands. This is the fastest and most effective way of getting CBD oil into your bloodstream and you will have more noticeable results than you would from waiting for your digestive system to process products from CBD gummies or CBD gel capsules.
